Arabian? Islam food? no, it’s completely Japanese, but why?
I must say they have no intent to say racism things here. I respect Islamic food and culture. I want to say that Japanese company’s marketing team is stupid. or rather I should say that they just misunderstood something in that.
Here is story.
This instant noodle name, Arabian Yakisoba is, Arabian means Arabian. and Yakisoba means flied noodle. so everybody could think it is Arabian taste flied noodle or Arabian style flied noodle.
But strangely it is not Arabian taste nor Arabian style!
If Arabian people see and eat this instant noodle, they cannot find any Arabian points.
So why is this name is “Arabian Yakisoba”?
Behind the story of this delicious instant noodle
This instant noodle company never say officially about that. But according to rumor, like that.
One day, in Japanese instant noodle company’s meeting room.
product marketing team and product development team discussion.
Mark: We have no idea for this product name! We must give name to this product to sell!
Deve: This noodle become delicious with easy cooking, it’s magic! so how about Magic Yakisoba?
Mark: What a stupid name! Use metaphor!
Deve: Ok, so how about “Aladdin Yakisoba”?
Mark: It’s very good metaphor name! but sadly 10 years later, Disney make movie, name is “Aradin”. at that time, they will sue us for brand name violation.
Deve: why? we are first and Disney is second.
Mark: It not matter of “first-come-first-served basis. Disney have good lawyers with big money.
Deve: I see.
Mark: Ok, so how about “Arabian Yakisoba”?
Deve: Arabian? What is Arabian? What kind of relation between Arabian & Aladdin?
Mark: You are stupid. Arabian means Aladdin in Arabian.
Deve: Oh, you are geneous. “Arabian Yakisoba” is proper name.
Mark: Ok, bring Aladdin picture for package for this Arabian Yakisoba!
and this “non Arabian taste” & “non Arabian style” Japanese taste instant noodle start to sell.
and this “non Arabian taste” & “non Arabian style” Japanese taste instant noodle start to sell as Arabian Yakisoba.
Because of stupid marketing team, Genius development team’s product become tragedy.
it means that this instant noodle is named after Japanese misunderstanding for Arabian.
I must say product development team is very genius because this product is very cheap and very easy cooking but very delicious. It’s just like the name, Magic instant noodle.
Bud stupidly marketing team name it not so seriously. It’s Japanese instant noodle product tragedy.
I am afraid that some day, some racism-sensitive start to condemn this instant noodle.
But I want to say, Please understand noodle is not bad! especially taste is not bad! Only Japanese marketing team’s superficiality is bad.
Anyway these things is not so important.
I should explain the taste of this instant noodle and cooking process.
