What is name, Kabayaki san tarou? “Kabayaki” means split and broiled eel, “san” is kind of the suffixes which is added to a person’s name. Taro means someone’s name.
So important part is Kabayaki. Split and broiled eel.
Kabayaki is one of the expensive food, high class cooking, and haute couture. Maybe it is like caviar.
What is Kabayaki? It is broiled Eel that look like snake. Almost all Japanese people think it gross, yacky, but almost all Japanese people favorite to eat it. Because it is very delicious.
Recent fish catch problem because of increasing fish consuming
Recently eel price rise because of fish eel consuming increasing and Kabayaki is also.
So if Japanese people see this snake, Kabayaki san tarou, they think it must be expensive.
If you see the package, there are kabayaki pictures on it.
But it’s just a 0.1 dollar. Not 1 dollar but zero point one dollar.

But now I tell you. this is really joke.
This kabayaki san tarou don’t use eel. It uses a walleye [an Alaska] pollack. It is alternative fish of eel.
And Kabayaki should be broiled with split fish. But this is mashed past fish meat.

So I must say there are no Kabayaki factor is this Kabayaki san tarou.
But if you get angry, you are stupid because it is just a 0.1 dollar.
Rather we should applaud it. This gives us imagination of Kabayaki, expensive food.

It is very wetty and sticky with brown liquid. this is sweet sake sauce and soy souce.
Be careful, it’s bit sticky. you should throw it into your mouth directly.
